1. Your Right to Data Deletion
At TripOnTip, we respect your right to control your personal data. You can request deletion of your personal information at any time, subject to certain legal and operational requirements.
2. How to Request Data Deletion
The data deletion process follows your organization's role hierarchy to ensure proper handling:
For Parents, Students & Drivers
- Log into the TripOnTip mobile app
- Go to Profile → Help & Support
- Tap "Delete My Data" in the Legal section
- Review your details, confirm, and submit
- Your request will be sent to your organization administrator, who will process it
For School Administrators
- Log into the TripOnTip mobile app or web dashboard
- Go to Profile → Help & Support → Delete My Data
- A support ticket will be created for our team
- Our team will respond within 48 hours

You can also send an email to privacy@tripontip.in with:
- Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
- Your registered email address
- Your full name
- Phone number associated with your account
3. What Data Will Be Deleted
Upon receiving your deletion request, we will delete:
- Your account information (name, email, phone number)
- Student information associated with your account
- Historical location data
- Communication history
- App usage data and preferences
4. Data Retention Exceptions
We may retain certain data when required by:
- Legal Obligations: Data required for tax, accounting, or legal compliance
- Safety Records: Anonymized safety and incident reports
- Dispute Resolution: Data necessary for ongoing legal proceedings
- Fraud Prevention: Information needed to prevent fraud or abuse
Retained data will be kept only for as long as legally required and will be securely deleted thereafter.
5. Deletion Timeline
- Immediate: Your account will be deactivated within 24 hours
- 30 Days: Most personal data will be permanently deleted
- 90 Days: All data, including backups, will be completely removed
You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion process is complete.
6. Impact of Data Deletion
Please note that deleting your data will:
- Permanently remove your access to the TripOnTip platform
- Delete all historical tracking and communication data
- Remove you from any associated school or organization
- Cannot be undone - you will need to create a new account to use our services again
7. For School Administrators
If you are a school administrator requesting deletion of your organization's data, please contact us directly at privacy@tripontip.in. Organization-level deletions require additional verification and may take longer to process.
